Sous Chef – Independent Catering Company
My client is an ingredients led independent food and events company providing a fully curated fresh food service for both corporate and private clients, weddings, and film/fashion shoot location work.
Operating out of a large and fully fitted production kitchen in the heart of London, their dynamic menus include Mediterranean, Modern British, Asian and plant-based cuisines which stems from their interest in worldwide food and travel. Chefs have access to an array of ingredients due to the high volume of bespoke menus they create for their clients.
Events include canape parties, weddings, buffets, banquets, buffet lunches, food festivals and dinner parties with the focus on seasonal ingredients, bold flavours and creative and unique presentation.
Duties will include:
- Senior role in the production kitchen
- Leading events at their kitchen and on location
- Menu planning, ordering and stock management
- Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Allergy Awareness
- Compliance with all statutory legislation and regulations, including Covid regulations
They are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable chef comfortable working in both the production kitchen and at events. Well organised, tidy and even-tempered, with a positive and “can-do” attitude. They will need to be good with the public, able to work in a team and flexible on working hours. You must be a strong team player prepared to roll your sleeves up as this kitchen is always busy. They are looking for someone fun who wants to grow as part of their team and develop with the business and with the hope to grow into a more senior position.

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000
