SOUS CHEF HIGH VOLUME FRESH FOOD RESTAURANT
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sous Chef for a busy high-volume fresh food branded restaurant in Reigate. Open from 8am to 11pm the kitchen serves breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and dinner. Menus are modern British casual dining and include the pub classics, gourmet burgers, steaks from the grill, salads, children’s menus etc.
As Sous Chef your key responsibilities will be:
- Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly
- Run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
- Kitchen management duties, stock control, wastage, hygiene etc.
- Compliance with all company & statutory legislation & regulations.
- Maintain company standards at all times
The ideal candidate will be an even tempered and pro-active professional chef with the skill base to move about the kitchen as needed.
You will be a strong team player with a sense of personal loyalty and mutual respect for others, clean, presentable and courteous at all times. You must be capable of working quickly and efficiently under pressure as this unit gets very busy at peak times.
You will be confident supervising other team members and be comfortable working within the brand.
Previous experience in a high-volume fresh food branded environment would be an advantage but full brand training will be given.
