Sous Chef 2AA Rosette Restaurant
This boutique hotel/restaurant with rooms situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Trossachs National Park is looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join the small but totally focused kitchen team for the coming season.
The 36-cover restaurant has 2AA rosettes for its food and serves a contemporary menu based on classical French cuisine but showcasing the best seasonal Scottish produce. Everything is made in house including fresh bread baked daily, so this kitchen is always busy. The 10-bed hotel also caters for weddings, events and small functions throughout the year.
As Sous Chef your key responsibilities will be:
- Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly
- Run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
- Kitchen management duties, stock control, wastage, hygiene etc.
- Compliance with all statutory legislation & regulations.
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking
Our ideal candidate will have several years’ experience in a similar fresh food environment cooking to 2AA Rosette standard, passionate about flavours and quality with a “can do” attitude. We are looking for a level-headed customer focused professional chef, up to date with modern cooking techniques, with the skill set to move about the kitchen as needed.

Seasonal Contract: to October with the option of a permanent role too.

Annual Salary: Up to £32,000 + Tips
