Senior Sous Chef Contemporary Fine Dining Restaurant

This 100-cover contemporary fine dining restaurant in central London is looking for an enthusiastic and well organised Senior Sous Chef to play a key role in running the BOH operation working alongside the Head Chef.

Serving lunch, afternoon tea, pre-theatre and dinner, the menus are shaped by the seasons and showcase the very best fresh regional produce from across the UK. Everything is made in-house from scratch, so this modern, well-equipped kitchen is always busy, standards throughout are high.

As Sous Chef your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly
  • Run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Kitchen management duties, stock control, GP, wastage, hygiene, staff training etc
  • Compliance with all statutory legislation & regulations.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking
  • Help the Head Chef drive the menu forward

 

Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar high-volume fresh food environment.
  • Creative flair & attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous, organised and punctual

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic Sous Chef with several years’ experience in a contemporary craft driven fresh food kitchen cooking to 2AA Rosette standard with excellent kitchen management and cook to order experience. You will be kind, even-tempered and self-aware with a CV that demonstrates loyalty and commitment. This company has an excellent record of staff retention.

48-hour week over 5 days

3 straight shifts (daytime only) and 2 doubles

Salary: up to £45,000
