This family run village pub and restaurant has an immediate vacancy for a talented Senior Sous Chef to strengthen the team. Menus are high quality, good value, fresh seasonal modern bistro food amongst some great pub classics with bar snacks and a traditional roast on Sundays. As much as possible is made in house with the accent on fresh, seasonal and local produce. The pub is very much the hub of the community and holds regular events, private functions, summer BBQ’s etc
Working alongside the Head Chef you will be expected to work on all sections of the kitchen including the stove, pass and pastry and will be required to run the kitchen when the Head Chef is off.
We are looking for an enthusiastic all round professional chef, passionate about flavours and quality with an easy-going nature and a “can do” attitude to work.
The ideal candidate will have several years experience in a similar busy fresh food environment as Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous with the skill base to move about the kitchen as needed. You must be comfortable running the kitchen when left in charge and working with the hands-on owners.
