HEAD CHEF VILLAGE PUB & RESTAURANT
Part of a small group of family run freehold pubs this well-known and much-loved country pub is looking for an enthusiastic Head Chef to lead the kitchen team. There is a 40-cover restaurant, busy bar and garden, live music events and functions. Menus are fresh, seasonal, modern bistro food amongst some great pub classics and daily specials. The kitchen serves a busy high-end carvery on Sundays.
As Head Chef you will be leading a team of 4 with responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including:
- All food production, stock management & wastage
- Menu development, daily specials & quality assurance
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
- Staff training & retention
- Food safety & hygiene
- The kitchen budget and GP
The ideal candidate will be a solid all-round professional chef with several years’ experience in a similar fresh food pub or restaurant with strong kitchen management and market savvy
Having been recently refurbished throughout, including a new kitchen, the owners are keen to create a contemporary casual fine dining destination venue; commitment, the ability to work as part of the management team and a passion for food are essential.
Own transport recommended due to location
5-day week straight & split shifts
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Bonus
