
Head Chef Village Gastro Pub with Rooms
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Head Chef for a picturesque, thatched village gastro pub near Witney in rural Oxfordshire. The pub has 11 letting rooms, a 60-cover restaurant, outside dining and events space and summer garden shack that serves bar snacks and light meals straight from the hut.
Menus are fresh, seasonal, high-end Gastro pub style with some produce grown in its own kitchen garden. It is firmly established as a destination dining venue locally and has a particularly strong Sunday lunch trade. Everything is fresh and prepared in-house, so this kitchen is always busy, standards throughout are high.
As Head Chef you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including:
- All food production, stock management & wastage
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
- Staff training & retention
- Food safety & hygiene
- The kitchen budget and GP
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking
- Maintaining a 5* Food hygiene rating
Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Our ideal candidate will be a craft led professional chef with a background in 2 AA Rosette establishments, up to date with modern cooking techniques, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, even tempered and customer focused.

Salary: Up to £45,000
Own transport is essential due to location.
Live-in Accommodation is available. Also a relocation package.
5-day week
