This long-established Kosher restaurant is looking for a well organised Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to run the kitchen. The restaurant serves a traditional kosher menu that hasn’t changed for over 40 years. Dishes include salt beef, chicken shawarma, chopped liver, soups, sides and a selection of meat and fish from the grill. Everything is made in-house from traditional recipes and all food preparation and cooking adheres to strict Kashrut regulations.

As Kitchen manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including:

  • Managing and training the team of chefs
  • All food production to company standards
  • Purchases, stock management & wastage
  • The kitchen budget & GP
  • Food safety
  • Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation, including Covid regulations
  • Maintaining a 5* hygiene rating

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a Head Chef in a similar unit
  • Boundless energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong team leader
  • Financially aware

 

Previous experience in a Kosher kitchen would be an advantage but is not essential

5 ½ day week

Salary: Up to £45,000 relevant to experience
