Head Chef- Indian Fusion Restaurant, Gibraltar
Currently in the final stages of a major refurbishment this exciting new 70 cover casual fine dining Indian restaurant is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen and play a key role in the growth of the business. Menus will be quality driven, contemporary and tapas style featuring a blend of regional Indian dishes and modern Asian cuisine based on well-sourced produce, high standards of cooking and innovative presentation bringing a Kricket Soho style operation to Gibraltar.
Working out of a brand-new kitchen you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your team
- All food production, stock management & wastage
- Menu development, daily specials & quality assurance
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
- Staff training & retention
- Food safety & hygiene
- The kitchen budget and GP
The ideal candidate will be a solid all-round professional chef with an excellent knowledge of contemporary Indian cuisine with experience in cutting edge Indian restaurants in London or overseas, strong kitchen management and market savvy
Required skills and experience
- Minimum of 3 years as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a similar kitchen

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional Head Chef capable of running an efficient kitchen, leading by example and mentoring staff. You must be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount.
You must be prepared to commit several years to this project.
This is not a live-in position, but the owners can help source accommodation either on Gibraltar or across the border in Spain.
Salary circa £30,000
