This family run country pub is looking for an enthusiastic Head Chef to lead the kitchen team. The pub is a destination venue set in some beautiful countryside. There is a 40-cover restaurant, busy bar and garden serving walkers and tourists as well as the local community. Menus are fresh and seasonal and include traditional pub fare, Ploughman’s etc, some great pub classics and daily specials. There is a particularly strong Sunday lunch trade.

 

As Head Chef you will be leading a team of 4 with responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including:

  • All food production, stock management & wastage
  • Menu development, daily specials & quality assurance
  • Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
  • Staff training & retention
  • Food safety & hygiene
  • The kitchen budget and GP

 

The ideal candidate will be a solid all-round professional chef with several years’ experience in the pub sector, flexible, even tempered, and happy to work closely with the hands-on owners.

Live in accommodation is available

Own transport is essential due to location

 5-day week straight & split shifts

Salary: Up to £35,000
