Chef Provincial French Family Restaurant & Hotel

 

This 17-bedroom town centre Auberge with a 30-cover family restaurant is seeking a competent and enthusiastic chef to run the kitchen for the coming season (April to October). The hotel offers breakfast and an evening meal (no lunches) and menus showcase regional Breton cuisine, fresh fish and shellfish feature strongly. Working mainly alone from a well-appointed kitchen you would be expected to work with the owners to create and cook fresh seasonal menus and manage the day to day running of your kitchen professionally.

This is relaxed regional French food, but we are looking for a high standard of cooking, a good understanding of French Cuisine, including pastry work and the preparation of fresh fish, and a creative flair for plating.

The ideal candidate will be clean & tidy, even-tempered and versatile with a good repertoire of dishes. Previous experience working in France and some spoken French would be an advantage.

Off-site accommodation can be arranged.

Hours: 6-day week 3.30-10.30pm approximately

Salary: up to 2,400€ a month relevant to experience
