This popular High St restaurant and bar with dining on three levels is looking for a competent CDP or Junior Sous Chef to strengthen the team. The menu is firmly rooted in the Mediterranean and features a signature service of contemporary snack sized dishes (Greek Meze), vegetarian dishes, grilled steaks and fresh fish. At weekends there is a very popular all day Brunch menu with plans to serve a Sunday Roast in the near future. The kitchen is well equipped and gets very busy at peak times, particularly at weekends.

 

You will be expected to organise your own prep, run your section during service, supervise other staff and work elsewhere in the kitchen as directed by the Head Chef.

Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
  • Relevant experience in a busy fresh food environment.
  • Up to date with modern cooking techniques
  • Creative flair & attention to detail
  • Keen to learn
  • Team player with a strong work ethic

 

Interviews will include a cooking trial

5 Day week

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 relevant to experience + service charge
