HEAD CHEF HIGH-VOLUME FRESH FOOD PUB

This family run canal side pub has an immediate vacancy for a RELIABLE and well organised Head Chef. The main kitchen is currently being extended and a new function kitchen is being built from the garden bar and grill. There are 2 large bars, a lounge, all-year covered decked terrace, large garden and 5 letting rooms.

Menus include the pub classics, gourmet burgers, daily specials and a traditional roast on Sundays. The outside seating can accommodate up to 400 and this pub gets very busy in fine weather.

As Head Chef you will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the day to day running of your kitchen including all purchases, food production, hygiene, staff, stock and the kitchen budget.

Role
• Head of Department
• Run the kitchen day-to-day
• Manage the kitchen team
• Create menus to delight customers and achieve commercial targets
• Maintain very high standards of Food, Service, Hygiene, Efficiency
• Work with the owners to achieve the business’ objectives

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous in a similar high-volume fresh food outlet with a proven track-record in kitchen management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised professional chef capable of leading a small team, coping with a very busy service at peak times and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 + Bonus
