Multi-award-winning Indian restaurant is looking for an energetic, capable and multi-talented Executive Sous Chef to work alongside the chef/owner to play a key role in the day to day running of this busy fresh food kitchen and the long term growth and development of the business.

Currently serving 1500 meals a week the restaurant serves authentic regional Indian cuisine, contemporary street food and has a thriving take away/home delivery service. The menu is constantly evolving and includes dishes from Punjab, Goa, Kerala, Kashmir, Mumbai, Rajasthan and the North West Frontier. Standards throughout are high.

As Executive Sous Chef you will be managing a team of 8 chefs with responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen including:

• Leading the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Exec Chef
• Ensuring all standards are maintained to a 2AA rosette status
• Policing the pass during busy service times
• Working closely with the brigade of Speciality Indian Chefs
• Manage financial and operational targets
• Maintain Health & Safety, Hygiene & Food Safety management

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and quality driven professional chef with an excellent knowledge of regional Indian cuisine and a proven track-record in kitchen management.

Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
Customer focused
Minimum of 5 years of experience of contemporary Indian cuisine at 2 AA Rosette level with appropriate professional qualifications.
Confident, professional
Strong training skills
Excellent attention to detail

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

A strong command of the English language is essential
