SOUS CHEF NEW OPENING

Set in the picturesque villages of South West France and in the final stages of a major refurbishment this brand-new modern bistro, grill and wine bar is looking for a competent and enthusiastic Sous Chef to strengthen the team

The restaurant will seat up to 65 with a covered terrace and bar, serving innovative contemporary international cuisine to a high standard in a casual chic setting. The menu will showcase local and seasonal produce and will include home smoked meat and fish, plat du jour, tapas style dishes for sharing with options for vegan/vegetarian diets too.

Duties will include:
• Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly
• Run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
• Kitchen management duties, stock control, wastage, hygiene etc.
• Compliance with all statutory legislation & regulations.
• Maintain exceptional standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking
• Supervise other staff

We are looking for a level-headed customer focused professional chef with the skill set to move about the kitchen as needed.

Previous experience working in France and a good level of spoken French would be an advantage

Salary: 25,000€ per annum
